After breaking my ankle last December, getting my range of motion back was a slow, painful process. Traditional physical therapy helped, but it was slow going and I hit a plateau and couldn’t make further progress. This passive range-of-motion device was a complete game changer. It allowed me to achieve far more movement than I ever could through active exercises alone—just set the timer and let it work. I saw noticeable improvements within a week, and within 3–4 weeks I had regained significant function. I highly recommend this device to anyone recovering from a lower-body injury! Thank you so much for everything you’ve done I am back to adventuring again!

This note is long overdue. My path to Kintech came somewhat indirectly—through a podiatrist referral. Ironically, my experience with that podiatrist (MediFeet) was disappointing: I was sold insoles that were incorrectly sized, ultimately unusable, and in any case unsuited to my particular condition. In retrospect, that poor encounter proved a blessing, because it led me to John and to Kintech. From my first session, John distinguished himself not only as a practitioner, but as a true caregiver. He gave me the time and space to speak at length about my situation—my concerns about adaptive movement, walking, daily aids, and even preparations for a significant trip to the Alps. At the same time too sharing me time in all the back and forth readiness and a last minute solution* to aid with upper leg weakness to help passively clear/lift during the climbs. He listened, answered questions with patience, and treated me not as a “client” but as a patient in the truest sense of the word. His approach was holistic: equal parts clinical expertise, practical advice, and human care. John also introduced me to equipment and resources that, while not always transformative at the stage of my condition when I used them, nonetheless supported me in meaningful ways. For example, he offered me the opportunity to trial AFOs and other adaptive supports. Even when such interventions had only modest or time-sensitive effects, John made sure I had alternatives to explore, and he guided me through what might help, what might not, and why. His priority was always my quality of life, not simply applying a generic treatment. This level of commitment is, frankly, what one hopes for in medical professionals yet rarely finds. John’s work embodies the ideal of care: a willingness to go beyond the superficial, to follow up, to share knowledge, and to stand alongside his patients in their search for dignity and function. His experience in clinics and hospitals is evident, but what matters most is the way he applies that knowledge—with thoughtfulness, humility, and genuine concern. I have every intention of staying connected with John for as long as he continues his practice. His insight and guidance have been invaluable, and I trust his judgment fully. Thank you, John, for your dedication, patience, and the humanity you bring to your work.
