The Roots is full of brilliant professionals. I have been in constant treatment with Dr. Lauren, Dr. Mary and Angie. I can’t recommend Mary enough. She has been one of the most important parts of my journey into motherhood. More than just an acupuncturist, Mary became my mentor, my caretaker, and my guide. Every session with her felt like a pause from the chaos—she helped me find calm even in the gloomiest moments. I still remember how relaxed I felt after one of her sessions during labour. My midwife even said, “I think it’s the acupuncture—you really took it seriously.” That could’ve been the very thing that helped my baby move down so quickly after the epidural. That moment stuck with me. Even now, I visit Mary just to relax. Honestly, I went in yesterday just to sleep. Because what she does? It works. It’s not like regular sleep—it’s a state of deep calm. You’re not fully asleep, but you’re resting so deeply that your body and mind feel reset. During pregnancy, those acupuncture sessions with her were something else. I could feel exactly where my baby was, how she was positioned, how she was moving. I was that connected—because I was that relaxed. And after each session, I’d wake up refreshed. Not groggy, not dizzy—just clear and light. Mary is magic. One of the best decisions I made during pregnancy was going to her. Truly, she’s a gift.
Dr. Lauren Brown and her team are truly amazing. What a healing, zen, atmosphere at the clinic. Highly recommend for anyone in need of support and healing.
I've been going to The Root other the last 3 years or so and I am so pleased with the level of commitment to your care both Dr. Lauren and Dr. Stephanie have. Following a holistic approach to healing has worked wonders for my health and I could not have done it without the support of the wonderful doctors at The Root. Both Dr. Lauren and Dr. Stephanie (Doctors I have personally worked with) showed the utmost care and support throughout my healing journey for several health issues. They also recommended me to a fantastic family doctor who I continue to work with. Words fall short of how amazing the team is at Root and I wouldn't doubt you'd be in great hands with whoever you work with. The clinic itself is also a calming and peaceful atmosphere. The only reason I've given a 4 star instead of 5 stars is because of the price and how that's changed over the years which does make it quite expensive. Of course taking into account how things change it is expected for prices to rise. Highly recommend otherwise! :)

I have found this place on the web and decided to book a consultation with one of the naturopaths there, because it had raving reviews. Well, so far I’m glad I did! I had a very nice consult with Dr. Amanda, who is a very sweet individual. Super polite, professional, definitely knowledgeable and overall very helpful. I came in to see her to get advice and guidance on my first pregnancy! As well as a couple of other personal health stuff. She carefully reviewed my filled out form and we went through absolutely everything step by step and she actually even ended up going a bit overtime with me, without ever making me feel rushed. I feel so comfy in her presence. My previous naturopath was a bit ‘pushy’, whereas Amanda was nothing like it. She recommended good vitamins and supplements for me, an amaaaazing tea which I’m loving so much and overall made me feel really good after the visit. I like the clinic a lot, hence 5 stars.
Dr. Laura Smith is amazing! She's changed my life for the better and I can't thank her & the entire Root staff enough. I came to the Root completely hopeless thinking I will never find a solution to my symptoms but Dr. Laura was there to help. She is so patient and kind and takes the time to actually listen which is a nice change from the norm in our western medical system. Altogether, I cannot recommend this place enough and their telemedicine option makes quality care that much more accesible. Thank you!!!
