No more home depot for me. They have it all here and the customer service from the whole family is exceptional. They are all very knowledgeable. From tools to lumber and everything in between this store has literally anything you could possibly need alongside a warm welcome from the team at cooksville lumber. Front desk, young fella on the forklift.. everyone acknowledges your presence. Indecisive on a stain/oil for your deck? Talk to the front desk for a small sample size to test. I always enjoy my trips to Cooksville Lumber. Pina has next level knowledge and patience. She spent some time with me showing me all the different types of wood they have. As well as which wood works best for different projects and what nominal measurements are.
Pina was so helpful and went beyond to help me. i was arriving to the store after closing and she accommodated me so easily and with a positive attitude the whole time. she was extremely helpful and they have great prices!
Just discovered this place. There’s not many lumber yards anymore. I had a specific need for certain lumber that the big boxes didn’t have. Cooksville did and the price was competitive too! There’s a built in hardware store that has large selection and some unique stuff too. To top it off, the service was great. Called ahead to check stock and they were happy to help and understand the specific lumber I needed, then confirmed stock. They don’t make stores like this anymore and it’s a shame. Happy to find it.
Always the best service with a smile here. Been coming here since I was a kid with my dad. (Back when the Dad behind the counter always had a round tin of cookies for us to have a treat) No big box store nonsense here. Just family oriented service. Great prices and always unique finds.
