Shawn and the SMP Law Team had been very instrumental, professional, and very dedicated, to the successful outcome of my divorce. The relentless opposing council put Shawn and the SMP team through various uncompromising challenges to resolve my case for: home ownership, equalization, child support owed to me in arrears and their request for retro and ongoing spousal support. This battle took about 4 years and 10 months which consisted of several court appearances and Shawn combated every one of them without fear. Shaw’s first big successful win in court was to get me full ownership of the 20 year matrimonial home which the opposing counsel was asking the courts for it to be sold, without my signature and hold back majority of the sale proceeds until the final divorce is settled; Shawn fought for me to have the option to obtain full ownership of the home with the tremendous help/recommendation of IV Law Professional Corp and today I’m the very happy sole owner of the home today. Next Shawn’s final complex challenge was to finalize the separation/divorce with a counsel that was uncooperating (meaning not following family court rules or court orders) and even some of the court judges found it complex at times and/or not like the common standard divorce case.
