My father went to this store in the past because of how knowledgable the staff were and the fact that you could live demo the equipment. I recently stopped by and it’s a great atmosphere if you have the time to take a look around and sit down to enjoy the different speakers. They’ve recently started selling some vinyl as well, stop by if you’re in the area.

We were in a situation where we needed to buy equipment for a specific, pretty specialized business need, and wanted to know if it would work for our application first, before putting down money on expensive hardware. Problem Best Buy, Staples, Canada Computers, every other big box outlet, will not let you have a demo. You can buy online and take a wild guess and depend on return policies, but that is not much of an option. Online outlets like Newegg don't know anything about the products, and you can't reach the manufacturers either, or get any info from them, other than what is on the web site. These people, I must say, were great, though we had to drive an hour to get there. They were knowledgeable, they set up the product, gave us an extended demo, suggested and evaluated options, customizations and accessories. Only place we could have got this done. They most definitely deserve to be supported !
I purchased an 85" Sony Tv, Sonos amp, Sonos Arc, Sonos sub, Paradigm in ceiling speakers recently from Trutone Electronics. I received great advice from Luis on the equipment choices and his knowledge is second to none. I also had Trutone install everything that I purchased as well as wall mount 2 existing tv's. Their installers, John & Blair where excellent! They were very knowledgeable, took extreme care in the installation and were both very curious and friendly. I would highly recommend Trutone for your audio video needs. I've been a customer for years and keep going back due to their high quality product selection and expert advice.
After taking a $3,000.00 deposit and arranging a time and date for installation, no one showed up and no one called. Indeed, two whole days later still no one from Truetone has contacted me. They appear hopelessly disorganized and cost me a half day's wages for the time I took off for the appointment.
I bought an audio system from Trutone Electronics early on in the Covid shut-down (late April, 2020). Will took the time to really listen to me and make sure the system I got was just right. After I bought it—I know this is backwards but this is how much I trusted him—I checked the reviews for all of the components. They all had stellar ratings. I ended up getting a system which performance, by all reviews, far exceeded the budget I had available. I was and am still delighted. The system has continued to burn in and sounds better today than the day I bought it. Listening to music on my new system is a real joy! Thanks Will, and Trutone Electronics. Addendum: Two years in and still loving it!
This is our first time ordering electronics online....specifically audio. We were a little nervous at first but took the plunge. I have to say that 1. The service is fantastic!!! Very impressed. 2. Any and all questions were answered in a respectful manner and tone over the phone. 3. We recommend.
