It was my very first time going to this salon, the place is really huge and really nice, my appointment was at 5 and i got the service right on time, but before I was sat down to a station, I got asked to wear a smock, but i was waiting for them to put the capes on as well, but it was never put on. And before I got my hair colour, she put an oil around my hairline so my skin wont stain with colour, but she just let it drip all over my face, and i didnt see this until i put on my glasses and had to ask someone else for a towel.The washing part was good, the products they use smells really nice. And when I was getting my blowdry, the person who was doing it was super friendly, and was talking to me the whole time and made me feel welcomed.Overall, the service was good, I left the salon earlier than time estimated.
By far the most professional salon I have been to. The staff are very friendly and very skilled. They run on time and still manage to take their time with you. Felicia is an maxing colour technician who listens to her clients needs. She did my colour today and I am very happy with her work.

My color and highlights always come out looking exactly as I hoped and even if Im in for just a root touch-up, its always perfectly blended. I booked an appointment with an Academy student (which is $25) but when it came to pay it was almost double the amount. I didnt realize it till I got home and by that time the store had closed so I called right when they opened the next day and told them I got overcharged. I was told I got booked with a New Talent not an Academy student and it was a mistake on their end but they couldnt do anything to fix it since I had already left the store and gotten the haircut. How would I have known that they booked me with the wrong person? I assumed they did their job right. Of course the only time I would notice it is when I was overcharged. Im disappointed as I ALWAYS come here for my haircuts. If they had just adjusted the price for the type of appointment I had actually requested for, or if they had given me a consolation for the next time I come in because of their mistake that had happened where maybe I can get 20% off my next haircut, I wouldve been fine with that. They didnt do anything to correct their mistake but say we will let our staff be more clear when booking appointments. Im angry as it wasnt even my fault and nothing was done to better my experience, I will definitely be finding a new place for my haircuts now.
This review is rated a 1 Star because 0 stars arent an option! I have never posted a review online before, but felt this one was needed. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service and lack of professionalism I received last week at Donato Salon. My service was booked incorrectly by staff at the front desk and upon arrival was told by my assigned stylist that she didnt have the time for my request. I was completely inconvenienced by having to drive 20 min each way and having to adjust my work schedule to accommodate this appointment.Management didnt seem to be empowered to make decisions to keep clients happy and I was told the earliest they could fit me back into the schedule was in a weeks time. I was only offered a small discount for the mistake they made!Not only that, I was quoted a price on the phone and then told it would be double after the fact. I would not recommend this salon. They are overpriced and do not care about providing quality customer service.
