I just finished getting help from Frank Pinizotto, one of the lawyers in this firm and I can't say enough about him. He was not only courteous but sensitive to my personal situation. My husband and I were referred to Day & Borg by a trusted family member who used their services for the sale of a house. We enlisted their help for the purchase of our first home from March to June 2021, and it was the first time we worked with a lawyer. Our contacts were Karen (Real Estate Clerk) and Sanitha (Lawyer). Out of everyone we worked with during our first real estate transaction (realtor and mortgage broker), the lawyer's office was the only one who felt like an opponent, and not a team member. The wasn't a single point of contact where we felt like they had our best interests in mind, and a couple times we felt taken advantage of. Interacting with them felt like an obstacle we needed to overcome throughout our homebuying process, and we were relieved when transaction was complete because it meant we no longer needed their services. At one point, we asked for a simple confirmation, expecting a quick "yes or no" response. Sanitha took this opportunity to write back with a message that was condescending, unprofessional, and uncalled for. In the end, they did the job fine. However, if you're expecting to be treated like a valued client, look elsewhere. I certainly will the next time I'm in need of a lawyer's assistance. From our experience, it doesn't seem like Day & Borg is interested in building a team that aims to retain clients. It could have been worse, but it also could have much, MUCH better.
3 real estate transactions and 2 wills later we have found a law firm that really fits. Lawyers Frank and Sanitha were both outstanding, specifically in their clear communication, underscored with wonderful efficiency (this will be where the supporting team deserves credit!). Thanks.
