Tandy Leather in Mississauga is a great shop. I just purchased a leather motorcycle jacket for a good price, because it had some damage to the leather on one arm. (The leather repair shop wanted north of $100 to fix). However, both the very knowledgeable sales persons had me fixed up in no time with some Angelus Black Acrylic Leather Paint. This method of repair looks excellent and it has saved me a lot of money. Thank you, very much.
Misleading description—this is plastic, not leather finish. I am extremely disappointed with my recent purchase. I bought a hide advertised as having a "2-sided finish," assuming it was a genuine leather finish. Nowhere in the ad was it mentioned that this "finish" is actually a cheap plastic-like laminate applied to both sides of the leather core. When testing the material, it burns and melts exactly like plastic. This is not what was advertised, and the quality is unacceptable for leatherworking. I feel completely misled by the product description. I am permanently put off and will not be purchasing from Tandy Canada again.
Great assortment of leathers and supplies, great knowledgeable guy helped me find what I needed but prices are higher and it’s kinda far. Also speed sticher awl for $35 only includes 1 needle not 2 as I was told by the guy.
after calling around several other stores and being turned down, Edward was extremely accommodating and helpful with adding extra holes in my weight lifting belt extremely impressed by the store, staff and service definitely my go to spot for all leather related needs!
Amazing first experience. If you are interested in leather they leave no excuse to leave empty handed. Super friendly staff, they sell beginners kits all the way to the professional items and they have classes as well. I spent over an hour just looking at awesome material. Patterns as well. It's like.. ? Very cool place.
