I come semi regularly to sunset grill when i've had a rough week because the service and food is so cozy. The staff are super friendly and attentive, i've seen them sit down with one customer to chat, and had a few conversations myself. Also extremely patient with me taking 10 minutes to decide what to order when get the monte cristo 90% of the time(its filling and tasty). And they'll top up your coffee without you needing to ask, they're all really on top of things. The cooks are amazing too, i normal don't enjoy homestyle potatoes for breakfast but they season and cook them really well here. And again, the monte cristo is SOOO good. But so are their omettes and pancakes. Resturant is always clean and the vibes are really nice pleasent break from how overstimulating most places can be. I miss the drawing they used to have on the wall awhile back, added to the really cozy cute vibe.
Be coming here for 11 years the food is great the own is awesome and she cooks really great burgers and breakfast will keep coming here and won't stop thanks guys
Not again and not recommended. This breakfast restaurant is a total ripoff. 3 breakfasts with coffee and refill; the total was over $69.45 including tips of $9.06. The quality of the food is also poor. Definitely not returning?
Great food, great prices, and friendly service. Good portions. They also have a handicap washroom. Will definitely return. Was pleased to find out they were open on Thanksgiving Day and went for breakfast.
Really cute place. Clean. Food does the job. But overpriced for the quality. Everyone is really friendly but come with zero time restrictions and a lot of patience because service is really slow. you’ll find yourself searching for a server after sitting for 10 minutes with out being greeted in a completely empty restaurant on a regular basis. You’ll have to leave your table often to find help asking for things you need. And having to interrupt personal conversation to simply get your bill. Very awkward. Reading the room and feeling out the guests is important. Sometimes people simply want to enjoy breakfast with their family and not to be bombarded with personal opinions, comments and cornered into personal conversations. I’ve seen table after table walk out in the time I’ve sat just for menus and a greet.
My family and I were in Canada visiting from the US. After reading all the (mostly) good reviews, we decided to order through Uber Eats. Unfortunately, our order took an hour and a half to arrive. This was no fault of Sunnyside Grill, but poor scheduling on uber eats behalf. However, once the food arrived and reheating in the microwave, we were just disappointed. The French Toast was dry and tasteless. It was more like bread had been dipped in cinnamon and dry fried. Unfortunately, we had 2 orders of French toast and had to eat it. At least the eggs were good and the restaurant provided of syrup, butter and extra condiments. Maybe our food quality would have been better if we had eaten in the actual diner.
This is my favourite grill in Mississauga. It’s exactly what you want in a little diner. The coffee is good. Breakfasts are cheap and huge. There is also a good set of vegetarian options as well as a beyond meat burger which is super. The pancakes are nice and everything is clean. There are also toys for the kids. It’s a firm favourite.
