It was a very unpleasant experience. I took my daughter to get ear piercings. We went there five times in total and spent over two hundred dollars. The piercing process was okay. They told us to go for a downsize in a month. Although I'm not an expert, none of my friends or I have ever heard that a downsize is needed and that it requires an additional fee. The first time we went for a downsize after the piercing, we were told that it wasn't healed well and couldn't be downsize. We needed to make an appointment for another week later. Although my daughter didn't experience any pain, swelling or discomfort at the ear piercing site, we still trusted and followed his advice. The second time we went for a downsize after the piercing, we were still told that it couldn't be changed. We needed to wait another week. The third time we went for a downsize after the piercing, a purple lump about 1 cm in diameter appeared beside my daughter's ear. I asked the piercer if we needed to see a doctor, and he said no. We should come back next week. When I took my daughter for the fourth time, the piercer told us that we needed to see a doctor. So I don't recommend that you waste your time and money here. BTW:No matter what time we made the appointment, we always had to wait for more than half an hour each time before we could be seen.
Ive been going to pierced since I was 10. Ever since, I've gotten 13 more piercings with them over the last few years. They are so nice and very professional. Even if I grew out of being scared of getting piercings, they are definitely well trained to handle someone who might be a little worried! I 100% would recommend this place. They have a high level of knowledge about their work and wont rush if you need a breather!
Extremely overpriced. They quoted me $90 -$100 for a navel pricing, while other studios like xtremities at dundas it for $56 including taxes. The jewelry they sell is absolutely beautiful though.
I knew from the moment my left earring was placed in, it did not feel as secure as my right earring. My left earring fell out and i lost the jewelry, had to go get it replaced. They also overcharge way too much for their jewelry.
I'm not too familiar with different kinds of piercings so I opted for a helix as it came close to the reference photo I liked. I explained to them that I knew nothing about ear piercings and to please let me know if there is anything I should know. I also communicated this to the piercer when I had my consultation prior to the piercing. Prior to the piercing, I explained that I wanted the piercing to be a bit higher up on my ear. The piercer said that according to my anatomy, we didn't want to go too high up otherwise the piercing would face downwards. I didn't want that and so I asked if we could make it so that the stud would still be able to be visible, facing the side. I did not want the stud to be facing forward either- I reaffirmed what I meant by showing him the reference photo I had brought. The piercer placed the dot on my ear to show where the piercing would be and it looked fine to me. While setting up, he asked me if I maybe wanted to start wearing a hoop when it heals and I said yes and that it might be cool. Piercing was minimal pain as to be expected. After I left, I noticed that my piercing was completely facing forward, and nothing like the reference photo I had shown or like I had described, or what we agreed upon in terms of directionality. I went back the next day and I tried to be kind as I do not like having to go back unhappy after a service, but Jack almost seemed annoyed that I had come back questioning the piercing. When I explained that the piercing was not what I wanted, the piercer said that it was what we had agreed upon in the consultation, even though it absolutely wasn't- but I did not want to engage, and I was already starting to feel uncomfortable by his tone. He said they could remove it and redo it in a couple weeks, but I was wary of getting the piercing done there again and asked if I could just get a refund instead. He very bluntly pointed to the sign that said no refunds and did not sound very kind about the fact that I was unhappy. He tried to assure me that if I were to get it redone, they had a policy of "guaranteed satisfaction" (which I found a bit ironic considering I came back because I was not satisfied and with a piercing that was not at all what we agreed on). We went into the room to talk more about what had happened. He said that he placed the piercing according to the fact that I wanted to transition to a hoop. Again, I thought it was just small talk- I had no idea this affected anything or that it was that big of a deal switching it out once healed. I thought since I made it known that I didn't have much knowledge about piercings, they would have taken time to make sure I knew that prior to performing the piercing. When I was trying to describe what I had actually wanted (essentially saying the same things I said yesterday), he went to get a model of an ear as well as some hoops to visually show me. He was handling the drawers and the ear model haphazardly and I felt from his sighs and body language that he was irritated. When I showed him what I wanted he said "well that's a completely different piercing than a helix". That did not make me feel good because I know I don't know much about piercings, and I wish he could have taken time to share knowledge or make suggestions to help me get what I wanted without making me feel bad. He said for what I want, we'd have to "plan extensively" (which, I don't know what that means. Shouldn't they always get the complete picture of what the customer wants prior to performing the piercing procedure?). It made me feel like a burden. Anyways, I found the way he handled things to be very condescending which made me feel uncomfortable discussing what I wanted and my concerns. I will not be returning to redo my piercing here even though it would be at no cost. I would rather protect my peace and go somewhere that makes me feel welcome enough to feel heard and understood.
Trust the poor reviews and avoid this place, my wife had her ears pierced here and they didn't have the size of hardware that they normally would in stock so she was given an improperly sized piece (our expense to later get the right size) We later went back for a couple studs, my wife was alone while I managed our baby and she was mislead and pressured into buying very overpriced hardware which ended up being incorrect. I went back in approximately 5 minutes afterwards and was told they don't allow exchanges or refunds despite having been inside just before. Very poor customer experience and they lack common sense policies. In summary; the staff drove my wife to tears and could not have cared less. The hardware is wildly overpriced (3 tiny pieces of generic metal for $53, one of which did not even work properly as it was defective) Our recommendation would be to order hardware off Amazon or try literally any other store. Thankfully our credit card covers us from predatory places like this
Jack is absolutely fantastic! We had to rush in to see them because we thought the ball end to my mom's daith piercing (done at a different shop) was stuck in the piercing hole. They assured us that there wasn't anything in the hole and put new jewelry in. I've been to so many piercers and they are the only one that has given sound advice on aftercare for side sleepers. They are also the only piercer I've been to that uses properly sized jewelry for fresh piercings as the jewelry that was in my mom's daith was too small which caused a big irritation bump. Thank you Jack for being so awesome!
