I will never make an appointment with this hair salon again. I cancelled over a week before my appointment, and they still took my deposit of $56. Very disappointed.
Probably the best hair braider I’ve been to in the area. Mustay always makes sure you get exactly what you want done and goes above and beyond when it comes to making you happy. She really has magic fingers. I came in with a hairstyle they don’t even offer anymore and she still went out of her way to do it even better than I expected. Will definitely be coming back here regularly. Thank you Mustay!
I called this salon to ask for a basic protective style, single braids without added hair and was told they don’t offer that style for adults. (fyi they offer this style for men and children). As a Black woman looking for natural, healthy options that support hair retention and growth, I found this disappointing. It’s frustrating that a salon claiming to cater to Black hair doesn’t offer simple protective styles that many of us rely on for maintaining our natural hair. Black women deserve salons that prioritize healthy hair practices, not just trendy or extension-heavy styles. I hope this feedback encourages the salon to expand their offerings in a more inclusive and thoughtful way.
I repeat don’t come here if you don’t understand pidgin or what they are saying in their language. They literally bad mouth you thinking you don’t understand really weird. Never coming here again. Imagine paying for a service just for them to bad mouth you and they don’t even know anything about you. I would’ve confronted them but I don’t want to see the stupid looks on their faces
I had an okay experience at Mustays Braiding Place until I spoke with my daughters (Age 9 and 10) when we got home. As I wasn't able to stay in the room with them while they got a wash and blow dry hair, it wasn't until AFTER the fact o was told that photography of their hair was done without asking for a parents permission. On top of that, due to my daughter's head sensitivity, she complained to the next patrons, waiting next to how "she won't stop crying." Among other questionable comments. I believe that the beauticians are knowledgeable about hair, and maybe they can treat other adults with better care, but I would NOT recommend them to bring your children.
Someone else had the same complaint like me below. I wrote asking for a quote and was told to walk in for one, I explained I live 45mins away thinking that will make them think out of the box, they didn't respond. Left a constructive criticism for them on Ig thinking it will help get them to apologize and respond nope, instead I was blocked. Bad customer service, you guys need to sit up you are in the service business.
I came on the wrong date for my appointment and I was still accommodated(again huge thanks ladies?).My braids look amazing, less than 24 hours and I'm getting compliments galore. Thank you so much. Highly recommend!!!
