I have been coming to this hairdresser's for a while and received an excellent hair cut every time. The owner, who is the hairdresser herself is skilled, attentive to detail, and communicates well with clients to maintain and evolve their desired style over time. The location is very convenient, too with large car park outside and nice clean facilities throughout. Also, because visits are by appointment only, there is hardly any waiting. Definitely confident in recommending Hyun Hair World to friends and family.
I visited Hyun’s salon after I made the mistake of giving myself a haircut. Hyun was able to book me in immediately and fixed my hair with ease. It came out looking even better than I expected and only costed a fraction of other salons I’ve visited. I will definitely leave the cutting to Hyun going forward!
My daughter and I have been going to Hyun for haircuts, and they always do a great job. Our hair grows out nicely, keeps its shape, and stays healthy. We’re always happy with the results!
Came here for a trim I have slightly wavy and textured hair. I told the hairdresser that I wanted to keep as much length as possible. She just nodded and didn't seem to listen to my request and kept walking away while i was talking to her. During the process she kept spraying water on my face and pulling on my hair aggressively. after it done it was not what I asked for at all. Too my shock my length was halfed and she gave me layers? I didn't ask for layers nor did she confirm with me if I was OK with them. A fustrating experience, no communication at all. She did whatever she wanted with no explanation. If you do not have straight hair I do not recommend, your hair will be damaged. just to look presentable you will need to straighten your hair and your natural wave or curl pattern will be ruined.
My daughter and I have been getting our hair cut and treated by the owner of the salon for 7 years now and we’re always satisfied with the results. The owner is skilled at layered haircuts and is very knowledgeable about maintaining hair health.
By far the worst haircut experience ever. I gave this place 4 chances before posting this review. The only reason i gave that many chances is because of the convenience of parking and access to groceries on the 1st floor of the plaza. Negatives: - Misses the details as she rushes through each cut (even when no one is there). - Aggressively and disrespectfully tilts/pushes your head. - Doesn't bother to communicate mid progress or even after the wash nor show back of your head. - Doesn't even know how to style ones hair. Pulls your hair so hard while drying in attempt to style. Positives: - The only positiveness that i can think of is parking. All in all, its clear the owner doesnt care. You will immediately notice this expression on her face that she doesn't want to be there. Just wanted to throw the facts and hope this serves as a warning. You deserve better. Save yourselves the trouble.
I got a wash, haircut/style. I showed a photo of what I wanted and the results exceeded my expectations! Will definitely be coming back. Thank you Hyun :)
